Beyond Hunger
Donate to support your neighbors. Cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Medicaid will greatly increase the demand for food assistance. Larger number of families needing assistance is quickly becoming a new normal at Beyond Hunger.
As our communities continue to navigate changes to the hunger-relief landscape at the local, state, and federal levels, we are committed to providing nutritious and healthy groceries to anyone needing assistance. Your help is necessary to helping us stay steady during times of uncertainty.
And if you need help, Beyond Hunger is committed to providing foods and services that nourish and sustain, through a dignified experience. We prioritize fresh produce and protein, and offer a variety of grocery items.

Greater Chicago Food Depository
SNAP is our nation’s most important anti-hunger tool. If benefits are paused in November during the federal government shutdown, 41 million Americans, including 1.9 million people in Illinois will be at risk of hunger.
To prepare for this likely event, the Greater Chicago Food Depository is looking for every opportunity to increase food distribution, focusing on areas in our community with the highest concentration of SNAP participants. We will do everything in our power to make sure food is available for anyone who visits a local pantry.
The Food Depository is Chicago’s food bank. We provide food for people facing hunger and food insecurity. Visit food pantries in Chicago and Cook County today to receive healthy food and groceries for yourself and your family.
