The Willard PTO is happy to share news and information about community programs, activities and events coordinated by external groups and organizations relevant for Willard Elementary students and families.   • Holiday Gift Drive

    Deadline: December 4, 2024
    Benefiting Sarah’s Inn

    Each December, Sarah’s Inn clients have the opportunity to “shop” for holiday presents for their children at the annual Sarah’s Inn Holiday Gift Event. This year -- and thanks to you -- the organization will provide gifts for more than 300 children and teens impacted by domestic violence.

    Donate new and unwrapped toys and books. See website for drop-off locations, wish lists and more.

  • Holiday Food & Gift Baskets

    Deadline: December 13, 2024
    Coordinated by Community of Congregations

    This year about 800 families, totaling 2,100 individuals, will be served, thanks to generous community members like you. Sign up to purchase gifts for an individual or family. You can shop for, wrap, and drop off gifts the week of December 9. Thanks for thinking about it!

  • Swim Access Program at West Cook YMCA

    The West Cook YMCA offers a COMPLIMENTARY session in our swim access program which will include a swim assessment of all children and placed in an appropriate class based on swim level and the skills of the children. This program is designed to increase the opportunity for swimmers to have access to water safety and swim lessons to communities and families that typically do not have access to swim lesson programming.

  • Ping! Providing Instruments to the Next Generation

    PING! brings equitable access to the instrumental music programs in Oak Park and River Forest School Districts 90, 97, and 200 by loaning instruments and providing music enrichment opportunities to students in need, opening the door to music education and all its related benefits to those students who would otherwise be unable to participate.

    The River Forest Park District is a place for fun and community. Programs for children and adults are available throughout the year.

    River Forest Public Library is committed to providing value and excellent service to the Village of River Forest. RFPL is regarded as an important information, entertainment, and community resource for people of all ages.
